In times of need, we’re here for emergency care, critical services, and advanced interventions because your pet deserves the best.

Emergency & Critical Care

Omega is open 24/7 for emergencies. Our state-of-the-art ICU allows us to manage and treat even the most advanced illnesses and injuries. Dr. Dorrie Black, renowned expert in critical care, oversees a team of emergency doctors to provide the highest level of case management. Omega’s critical care services range from mechanical ventilation and high-flow oxygen to blood transfusions and endoscopy.

Internal Medicine

Dr. Sarah Stewart, board certified in internal medicine and oncology, diagnoses and manages a variety of internal medicine cases in conjunction with Dr. Dorrie Black. The internal medicine department treats a wide array of conditions ranging from gastrointestinal disease, endocrine disorders, renal and hepatic dysfunction, hematological and pulmonary disorders and immune system issues among others.

Advanced Imaging

The doctors at Omega have extensive experience using imaging as part of their diagnostic process. We offer a wide array of technologies including x-ray, ultrasound, computed tomography (CT) and, beginning in December of 2025, magnetic resonance imaging (MRI). Our team is supported by board-certified radiologist consultants who provide the most thorough interpretation of those images.

Minimally Invasive Soft-Tissue Surgery

Dr. Caleb Hudson and Dr. Stephen Jones are experts in the use of arthroscopy, laparoscopy and thoracoscopy, which allows them to perform soft tissue surgeries in the most minimally invasive manner possible. They perform a wide range of procedures including exploratory laparotomy, foreign body removal, gastropexy, dystocia, fracture repair, cystotomies, pyometra surgery and BOAS surgery among many others.

Minimally Invasive Orthopedic Surgery and Joint Replacement

Omega Veterinary Group features a surgical team that is on the cutting edge of minimally invasive orthopedic surgery and joint replacements, including hips, knees, ankles and elbows, in both cats and dogs. Using fluoroscopic imaging, C-Arm imaging, and arthroscopy, Dr. Caleb Hudson and Dr. Stephen Jones treat dogs and cats with such orthopedic issues as patellar luxation, degenerative joint disease, dysplasia, cruciate tears and arthritis.

Ophthalmology and Ophthalmic Surgery

At Omega, all companion animals can receive evaluation, diagnosis and treatment for all ophthalmic conditions including glaucoma, retinal detachment, corneal ulcers, uveitis, advanced cataracts and Sudden Acquired Retinal Degeneration Syndrome (SARDS). Ophthalmologist Dr. Audrey Hudson is also an accomplished surgeon performing everything from corneal reconstruction and grafting, routine and complicated cataract surgery, endolaser glaucoma surgery, gonio-implantation glaucoma surgery and retinopexy, among others.

Neurology and Neurosurgery (coming in December 2025)

By the end of 2025, Omega will be home to neurologist and neurosurgeon Dr. Ashley Hechler. Dr. Hechler is an expert in the diagnosis and treatment of such neurological disorders as epilepsy, intervertebral disc disease (IVDD), brain tumors, strokes, infections, hydrocephalus and degenerative conditions like canine degenerative myelopathy. Additionally, Dr. Hechler also develops pain management and rehabilitative courses of treatment for dogs and cats recovering from neurological conditions.

Anesthesiology

Working in conjunction with each of Omega Veterinary Group’s specialists is board certified anesthesiologist Dr. Kristine Siao. The anesthesiology department is dedicated to evaluating the best use of anesthesia drugs for each pet undergoing treatment. Additionally, each surgical patient receives an individualized assessment of its pain levels and, for particularly high-risk cases, Dr. Siao provides dedicated monitoring during surgery and recovery.
